The 22nd edition of the biggest security show in Europe is already behind us. This year, 110,000 visitors attended NATO Days and Air Force Days in Ostrava with the participation of nineteen partner countries and under the NATO partnership. Although it was under a cloud for most of the weekend, fortunately it did not rain and visitors were able to see the vast majority of the planned dynamic demonstrations. There were also static demonstrations of various military, firefighting, police and other equipment. In total, nearly a hundred aircraft and a thousand different types of other equipment were on display.

The premiere flights of the F-35 Lightning II aircraft of the Dutch Air Force were an experience. For the first time, the new JAS-39 Gripen E was also presented in the Czech skies. Interesting were the demonstrations of the Czech jet trainer L-39NG from Aero Vodochody or L 410 NG from Aircraft Industries. In the skies this year, the world vice-champion in aerobatic flying, Martin Šonka, again excelled in a Zlin Z-142C AF trainer from LOM Praha. Spectators could also see the joint flypast of aircraft from several countries to symbolically welcome Finland and Sweden to the North Atlantic Alliance.

The NATO Days in Ostrava and the Czech Air Force Days have earned a long-standing strong and prestigious position among the partner nations in NATO, but not only there. Among its visitors and at the accompanying events that are part of the NATO Days, you can meet a wide range of high-tech experts and personalities from the command of individual NATO and some non-NATO countries.

"We are very pleased that our event maintains a long-standing high attendance of spectators who, despite the uncomfortable weather, leave the comfort of their homes and come to Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport to see it. We thank them for that," said Zbyněk Pavlačík, deputy of the main organizer of the event, chairman of the JAGELLO 2000 association.
